Feasibility Studies for West Side Municipality

Contracted with the City’s Information Technology Services for Engineering and Feasibility Studies for wireless broadband services. The purpose of this wireless communications study was to facilitate the expansion of the City’s water production, wastewater, and collection facilities systems Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) capabilities and future network applications. Wireless WAN (Wide Area Network) consisted of over 40 locations within the city. Engineering services consists of path profiles, wireless feasibility, spectrum analysis, Ethernet Performance testing and defining the equipment and wireless infrastructure Bill of Materials.

Southwest LAN Connections has recently been awarded a three-year contract with the City located in the Phoenix Metropolitan Area for ongoing onsite support, maintenance, engineering and professional wireless installation services within the Process Control Department’s network. Southwest LAN Connections also previously supported and provided turnkey solutions with the broadband wireless microwave network for the past 5 years. The City wireless WAN consists of over 40 microwave links to support water production, wastewater, and collection facilities systems supporting the Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) and other network IP applications.
